We are excited to announce the opening of our new training center, located at 155 E. 2nd Street at Avenue A.
Hello East Village dogs!
We began School For The Dogs in 2012 on Third Avenue and 18th Street, where we converted part of the floor-through apartment where Annie grew up into a pet-friendly training space. Our furry clientele came up two flights of stairs to our beloved studio-cum-apartment for private lessons and small classes there.
Sadly, at the end of December last year, an electrical fire ravaged the building and the studio was completely destroyed.

Thanks to generous contributions by our wonderful clients, friends, family and from assorted cheerleaders around the world, we were able to quickly get back on our feet and open up this new, much improved training “Animal Training & Education Center.”
We couldn't possibly be more excited about it!
Our new and sunny 750-square-foot storefront features ample space for chase, tug, playtime and the wide variety of classes we have on our roster — from basic manners courses to workshops on teaching dogs to use iPads.
We even have a small, curated shop featuring some of our favorite training tools, treats and toys.
There is also a back office area in which, a few days each month, we are honored to be hosting the renowned veterinary behaviorist, Dr. E'lise Christensen.
We also have a large outdoor space which we are in the process of spiffing up to make extra dog friendly (and pleasant for humans, too). Please come by and say “hello” sometime soon.
