Stranger Danger

Stranger Danger is an 8-week long group class designed especially for dogs who show signs of fear or aggression towards strangers.

• Learn and practice exercises to reduce fear, aggression or reactivity towards visitors in the home
• Learn crucial leash walking techniques for reducing fear, aggression or reactivity towards strangers on walks
• Become skilled at identifying your dog’s precursors to discomfort
• Learn techniques to help begin systematically acclimating your dog to unfamiliar humans so you can expand their social circle
• Classroom setting with barriers offers a controlled, low-stress teaching environment
• First class is a mandatory orientation for humans only

For this specialty class, your dog must wear a martingale neck collar plus either a two-point body harness or a head halter. Treat pouch and a basket muzzle are also required.

• Proof of up-to-date Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP/DA2PP vaccines are required to participate
• Suggested Harnesses: Freedom Harness, Ruffwear Front Range Harness or the Xtra Dog Fleece Harness
• Suggested Head Halters: Comfort Trainer or the Halti OptiFit
• Suggested Muzzles: Baskerville Ultra (good for large dogs) or Italian Basket Muzzle (good for small dogs.)
